My name is George Rees, I am an independent damp and timber surveyor based in South Yorkshire, I will travel approximately 150 miles radius, but could possibly travel further if required. I am accredited to the Property Care Association (PCA) formerly the BWPDA and I am listed on the PCA website, as an independent dampness and timber surveyor, after thorough training and subsequent exams, back in 2008. I was awarded the C.S.R.T. (Certified Surveyor of Remedial Treatments) qualification at this time, over the following years and Continued Professional Development (CPD) I have upgraded this qualification to CSTDB. (Certified Surveyor of Timber and Dampness in Buildings) in 2018.  

I carry out pre purchase house surveys, tenant/landlord disputes/problems, surveys for mortgage companies, housing associations, councils, persistent damp and/or timber problems for private homeowners etc.

I have been in the building industry for over 35 years covering plumbing, heating and ventilation, property maintenance (all trades), and consultancy to building professionals and private clients in property related areas. We also carry out other independent property surveys such as roof coverings inspections to ascertain any required remedial works to ensure further longevity of the roof coverings or estimated life span of materials associated with the roof.

Detailed, intrusive cavity wall-tie surveys are also undertaken, to assess the condition of the ties and give an estimated, useful “lifespan” for the subject wall-ties, if corrosion is light or minimal.
